LIVE WEDDING PAINTING

You’ll want to relive your wedding day, over and over

A live wedding painting becomes an heirloom that will make you feel sentimental all over again, every time you look at it.

A painting is timeless.

For centuries, painters have turned fleeting moments into art. When I pick up my brush on your wedding day, I’m there to do exactly that: capture intimate moments and heightened emotions in a way that photographs never can.

But it’s about more than the finished artwork. A live wedding painting is an experience that you can share with your guests, watching a portrait of yourselves emerge as I work.

To me and my husband, it's more than just a painting.

It’s a vibrant, living memory that we will cherish forever.

It was everything we had hoped!

Debbie was amazing at communication and telling me all about wedding painting and how it works. Debbie even added in our chocolate lab, Sadie, and a few hidden Mickeys for us.

- hartly

Honestly one of the most amazing painters I've ever met!

She made our perfect day even better than it already was and was kind and friendly towards all the guests. I would highly recommend her if you want someone at your wedding who will give you memories you will treasure forever.

Debbie was the talk of the wedding with her amazing talent.

Debbie was the talk of the wedding with her amazing talent. So many guests were excited to see how she was progressing with the painting as the night went on. If you are thinking of doing a live painting, absolutely do it and absolutely use Debbie.

What actually happens when we hire a live wedding painter?

MY PROCESS, STEP-BY-STEP

PRE-WEDDING

ON THE WEDDING DAY

POST-WEDDING

Book a consultation where you tell me about the wedding you’re planning and what you envision for a painting. I’ll prepare a custom proposal for you.

About 6 weeks before your wedding, once you have a sense of how the day will flow, I’ll be in touch so you can tell me exactly which moment I’ll be capturing: first look, first dance, or maybe something else?

If I’m painting the ceremony or a first look, I’ll set up my station early to paint the background, then capture the actual moment in photos that I can use as reference. Then I tear down my station and move to the reception space.

If the moment takes place during your reception, I’ll set up and start painting the background while the space is still pristine, then take my reference photos as the reception unfolds.

Either way, I’ll be live painting, with the backdrop already in place, throughout your reception so that guests (and you!) can watch.

In total, I’ll be on-site for 8-10 hours on your wedding day.

As your reception winds down, I’ll carefully pack up my painting and take it to my studio for finishing. This lets me add depth and detail that isn’t always possible in a single day.

Your finished painting will be mailed to you in 4-12 weeks, fully varnished and ready to hang. (It’s a gallery wrap canvas with painted edges, so it doesn’t require a frame if that’s not your style.)

Not only did she give us an amazing painting, she also gave us memories to last a lifetime.

You definitely need to hire Debbie for your wedding! She was so friendly and interactive with all our guests. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to capture our first kiss. So again, hire Debbie! You won’t regret it.

We regularly stop to admire this treasured piece that so perfectly captures the precious moment.

Debbie did the most absolutely stunning painting of our special day. 10/10 I recommend it to anyone looking for a unique way to immortalize their wedding day live or even after the fact from photos.

I can’t find the words to describe how much my husband and I love our painting.

Our wedding guests were so intrigued because they had never seen a live wedding painter before. Everyone loved her and raved about how unique and cool it was to have at our wedding. She truly made it such an easy and delightful process for us.

- bailee

Our guests loved watching Debbie paint!

Debbie was so wonderful! She is easy to communicate with from start to finish and such a lovely person! My husband and I wanted something a little different for our wedding, closer and more intimate. Thank you, Debbie!

We now have an amazing painting in our bedroom to remind us each day of our special day.

Debbie was amazing! She traveled to our wedding in MN, and we couldn’t have been happier with her work. I highly recommend her if you cherish those memories and want something unique to follow your journey together.

- madison

It was such a joy to have her at our wedding; our guests couldn’t get enough of it.

With everything I had stressing me out and running through my head leading up to that day, Debbie was not one of them. The final reveal blew our minds; her attention to detail made me tear up, and we were speechless. Every time I look at our painting, I am brought back to that day and feel the love all over again.

Of course. Using old photos, I can incorporate them into your painting as if they had been there in person.

As a pet parent myself, I get the struggle. If you provide photos of your pet, I can easily paint them in during your reception—all I ask is that you provide a photo of them beforehand.

All you have to do is say the word! When you fill out the inquiry form, let me know where you’re getting married. I’ll come to our consultation with full pricing based on your location.

Yes—I can always do a custom painting from photos. We can even combine different photos to create a new composition, similar to a live wedding painting.

I use professional-grade acrylic paint that’s designed to last a lifetime. Before I ship your painting to you, I also apply a layer of varnish to protect the paint from the environment.

Not just inclusive but affirming—I want to celebrate all couples and would be overjoyed to paint for you.

Not at this time. All paintings are done on a gallery-wrapped canvas with painted edges and hanging hardware, so they can go straight onto your wall.

If you know you want to frame your finished piece, I’m happy to offer advice on frame styles and suppliers.

Of course! To book, you’ll need to make a deposit of 25% of the total cost. From there, we can follow the payment plan of your choice.

Most clients choose to do 4 equal payments.
